The view from nowhere
TODAY
The brewery, known as "The Mountain Brewery" from the Black Mountain, on whose slopes it was built, stands to this day. Now owned by the Belgian multinational, Interbrew, remnants of Thomas R.'s original edifice are still to be seen. Interbrew are closing the brewing operation and the site is up for sale. In fact, the modern-day Caffrey's Ale is no longer produced in Ireland at all.
Of the house, nothing remains. It was sold at the same time as the brewery, to the Christian Brothers, and was demolished in 2001.
I, the last to bear the name lineage, and my elder sister are all that is left of the people, and soon, even we will be no more.

The house that Thomas built.
This is the house that Thomas had built in 1900 just beside the brewery in West Belfast.
